Dr. Gordon Silverman, Professor Emeritus and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Manhattan College, is the "GO" in JOGO. He, along with Dr. Joseph Brudny, the "JO" in JOGO, are the pioneers responsible for creating the fully-functional EMG biofeedback unit in the 1970s. Late Dr Brudny was the Director of the Sensory Feedback Unit at ICD Research and Rehabilitation Center in Manhattan.
Dr. Silverman has had a flourishing professional career spanning more than five decades of teaching, consultation, and research. During his tenure, he has built several scientific instruments used for physiological and psychological research. Dr. Silverman also holds eight patents, some on aspects concerning behaviour modification. Apart from writing several books and journal articles, he co-authored "Cognitive Science: An Introduction to the Study of the Mind." In addition to working at The Rockefeller University and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Silverman is also an expert in telemedicine, Artificial Intelligence, biomedical instrumentation, and rehabilitation medicine
